Spinach Muffins with Börek Cheese
These savoury muffins with Börek Cheese and spinach are a practical choice for breakfast, tea time, picnics or lunchboxes. Easy to serve in individual portions, they have a soft texture and a delicious cheese-filled flavour that works at any time of day.

Ingredients
- 180 g Börek Cheese
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup yogurt
- ½ cup olive oil
- 1½ cups flour
- 1 packet baking powder
- 1 cup fresh spinach
- ½ bunch dill
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- Sesame seeds
- Black cumin seeds
Directions
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a muffin tin or line it with paper muffin cases.
Wash and finely chop the spinach. Finely chop the dill.
Whisk the eggs in a large mixing bowl. Add the yogurt and olive oil, then mix well.
Sift in the flour and baking powder. Add the salt and black pepper, then stir until you have a smooth batter.
Crumble the Börek Cheese. Add the chopped spinach, dill and crumbled cheese to the batter.
Gently fold everything together with a spatula.
Divide the batter evenly between the muffin cases. Sprinkle sesame seeds and black cumin seeds on top.
Bake in the preheated oven at 180°C for 25–30 minutes, until the muffins are lightly golden on top.
Remove from the oven and let them rest briefly. Serve warm or at room temperature.
